Grant Hall 20, 21, 22, 27, 28 February & 1 March 2015

They are intertwined in death as they were in life. AO presents an evening of one of the greatest mysteries in history. Did Salieri really poison Mozart and cause his death? This doublebill evening of opera begins with The Impresario, a comic masterpiece that has Mozart using his wits to coax two rival sopranos to work together on a new opera.

The Impresario is followed by the Alaskan premiere of Mozart & Salieri by Nicolai Remsky-Korsakov. This opera is inspired by the play of the same name by Aleksandr Pushkin. Explore the mind of Salieri as he struggles to come to terms with his diminished stature next to Mozart. The opera culminates in a fateful dinner between to two composers and the infamous poisoning. This evening will leave you speechless!

Filled with magic, dragons, and special effects, The Magic Flute will make you feel like a kid again.
